If you're a local, you already know how good China Restaurant is. If you're just passing through from out of town, don't let the generic name fool you! This is some of the best American Chinese food you can hope to get. My husband and I lived in LA for years, and this place more than fulfills our comfort food cravings. The takeout classics are superb, and the menu is large, with many unique specials as well. We've sampled many menu items (vegetable egg rolls, cream cheese wontons, a serious deal on good hot and sour soup, broccoli beef, kung pao chicken, strawberry chicken, orange chicken, and if you want to feed a whole crowd--the sizzling happy family). All of these were exceptional: crispy, flavorful, well-spiced, and fresh. The lunch specials are excellent deals and the portions on everything are enormous. Even for non-vegetarians, the kung pao tofu is worth coming back for--you've never had such crispy, but tender and delicious tofu in your life!
Seriously, stop by. It's the best value around, and the food does not disappoint! -

The food here is very satisfying... just don't expect it to come out in any particular order!
Our waiter took our order for an app, two entrees, and drinks, without writing it down. Shortly afterward, the Kung Pao Chicken arrived... but no rice. It was a some time more before the rice arrived. Again another wait for the Honey Walnut Shrimp to show up. The potsticker appetizers actually didn't show up until dessert time.
The food was perfectly done, and at perfect temperature. The shrimp was coated with small, crunchy honey crystals. I've never had jalapenos (in addition to the traditional red chilies) in Kung Pao chicken, but now I'm, a fan. The potstickers were savory, crunchy where they needed to be. Drinks were by the can, a minor turn-off. The price was reasonable, and there was enough to box home for tomorrow's lunch.
Yes, I would definitely come back next time I'm in Deming. -

Wow, Deming.... Seriously? Do I have to come all the way down here to get really tasty Chinese? Don't tempt me, because I might!
Fellow Chinese food lovers rejoice! Next time you wander South to the plethora of hot springs surrounding Deming and Silver City, you MUST stop here.
We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, Mongolian Chicken, Pepper Beef, and Longbow dumplings. The Mongolian was incredibly good. Beautifully sauced tender chicken. The pepper steak equally tender, flavorful. The lo mein was simple but good. The dumplings transported me back to the lovely pork and ginger dumplings I shared with my mom in my youth.
You will be impressed with the flavors, the variety, the quality and the portions... I'd heard they were big... But I had to order a few things to try!!!
The service is impressively quick and efficient and we very much look forward to coming back to the hot springs in Fall... And dine again! -

Food: Great food, great appetizers, great soups. Honestly, I have not eaten anything at this place that was not great.
Service: Great service and nothing less of that, everyone is attentive, prompt and professional.
Value: Best value ever, it's a plus that no MSG, Artificial flavoring and no canned food. -

Another great experience! The food is cheap for the amount of food they serve you. This is why I come every time I come back to Deming. No matter what you order it's all so good
